Now based in Nelson, BC, my work explores connection through painting, teaching, and art therapy. Whether I’m capturing places I love or hosting others in creative process, I’m drawn to the ways art can shift perspective and bring us back to ourselves and one another.

More about the artist.
Jocelyn van Wynsberghe is an oil painter, art therapist (qualifying), and facilitator based in Nelson, BC. Since 2011, she has trained under Canadian landscape artist Gordon Harrison. She began showing and selling her work in 2014, and her paintings now live in private collections worldwide and appear on the covers of six young adult fiction titles by Dog-Eared Books Publishing House.
Through her work, Jocelyn explores relationship, meaning, and belonging. Her paintings and creative offerings are shaped by the belief that making something by hand can shift how we see and how we feel.
Before moving into her current practice, Jocelyn spent over a decade in post-secondary disability services, supporting diverse learners and designing inclusive educational experiences. This background continues to shape her work, informing the way she holds space for different ways of thinking, feeling, and creating.
