Art Therapy

I offer individual and small-group art therapy sessions in a cozy clay studio in Nelson’s Uphill neighbourhood, as well as online across Canada. No art experience is needed. Together, we use simple materials and creative process as a way to explore what’s present and support meaningful change.

I completed my training as an art therapist at the Kutenai Art Therapy Institute (KATI) in Nelson, BC, where I trained in relational, art-centred, and experiential approaches to healing.

Art therapy, as defined by the Canadian Art Therapy Association, is the combination of the creative process and psychotherapy, facilitating self-exploration and understanding. Using imagery, colour, and shape as part of this creative therapeutic process, thoughts and feelings can be expressed that would otherwise be difficult to articulate with words.

My approach is relational, art-centred, and land-based, grounded in the belief that healing happens in connection to ourselves, to one another, and to the environments we are part of. I work with divergent thinkers, feelers, and makers, as well as those moving through life transitions such as relocation, grief, health changes, or letting go of versions of life that will not unfold as once imagined.

In-person sessions are held in Nelson, BC, where the surrounding land often becomes a quiet part of the work.

Fees & Accessibility

I value transparency and want working together to feel clear from the beginning.

Individual art therapy sessions are $140 / 75 minutes. Materials are included for in-person sessions in Nelson. Online sessions are available Canada-wide.

Group offerings vary depending on length, materials, and group size.

Some insurance plans may reimburse art therapy services. Receipts are available upon request.

I hold a small number of reduced-cost spaces because I believe support should be accessible. If cost is a barrier, you are welcome to reach out.

For workshops, schools, and organizations, pricing is shared upfront so there are no surprises.

This practice is grounded in the belief that healing is relational, and that support works best when it feels clear, collaborative, and human.
